Trees getting ready to shed their autumn leaves.

Autumn poem

As the days grow shorter and the temperature drops, I find myself captivated by the rustling symphony of leaves beneath my feet - a vibrant blend of yellow, brown, orange, and red. The leaves, like our aspirations and ambitions, were once vibrant green, bursting with potential.

The winds blew, and the seeds from this year's growth took flight to settle and grow in fertile soil.

What remains of the leaves, the tree sheds as it readies itself for the next cycle.

Imagine the scent of decay lingering in the air if the tree defiantly clung to its lifeless leaves. The lack of room would prevent any fresh growth from emerging in the spring.

Life, much like nature, mirrors the intricate patterns and cycles found in the natural world. Just like leaves that have dried up and turned brown, certain things in our lives need shedding. What experiences or emotions are you still tightly holding onto?

Got any old clothes that no longer fit?, grudges that have long lost their significance? Is there a lingering bitterness from past wrongs?

Shedding the past like autumn leaves allows space for fresh growth to emerge.
